Take the 60-second fit checkTemmen Insurance is an independent agency headquartered in Springfield, Missouri. We help seniors, veterans and families compare their options and pick coverage that fits, at no cost to them. We're independent, so we work for the client, not for one insurance company.
Our sales floor runs on people who pick up the phone, start conversations and actually help the person on the other end.
Offices in Springfield, Joplin, Belton, Wildwood, Cape Girardeau and Topeka, and we keep adding more.
Our sales agents and leaders started out on our phone team. Show up and perform, and the next seat opens for you.
Most new hires start on our Sales Development (SDR) team. Here's what that means day to day.
Most of your day is outbound calls to people who asked us for help. Plenty won't answer. Some will say no. The ones who stay positive through the "no" calls are the ones who win.
Calls, conversations and transfers are tracked every day and posted on a team leaderboard. If you like keeping score, you'll love it. If that stresses you out, this isn't the job for you.
This is a full-time, in-office, Monday–Friday role. Showing up on time every day matters. We're a team, and the floor feels it when someone's missing.
October through early December is the busiest stretch of the year. Expect high energy, high volume and a lot of opportunity. Time off during this window is very limited.
Base pay plus performance bonuses for hitting team and individual goals. Top performers hear about bonuses every week.
No insurance experience needed. We train you on the scripts, the systems and the conversations, then coach you on real calls.
We fill our sales seats by promoting from our phone team. Performance decides how fast you move, not tenure.
Learn the business on the phones. Start conversations and connect clients with our licensed team.
Top SDRs study for and pass their state insurance license exam, with our help.
Join a sales training class, then help clients choose their coverage, with earnings tied to what you write.
Our strongest agents move into coaching, management and helping open new offices.
If any of these are a "no," that's okay. It saves us both time.
Reply "READY" to the text or email that sent you here, and we'll lock in your interview. Come ready to talk about a time you pushed through something hard. We'll ask.
Based on your answers, this role probably isn't the right fit right now, and that's completely fine. No need to reply. We wish you the best in your search.
No. Most of our team had none when they started. We train you on everything. What we can't teach is attitude, work ethic and showing up.
Not for Sales Development roles. When you're ready to move into sales, you'll study for and pass your state insurance license exam, and we'll help you prepare.
You'll mostly call people who reached out to us asking for help. It's still a phone job, and not everyone answers or is ready to talk, so persistence matters.
No. This is a full-time, in-office role. We work as a team on the floor, and that's a big part of how people learn fast.
That's up to you. We promote based on performance, attendance and coachability, not time served. We run sales training classes regularly, and our best SDRs fill them.
